Friday, September 5,2008

ok I know yall are reading this and thinking what the hell, I am a few days behind on blogging and i am trying to catch up. so today is really tuesday. so with that in mind be patient. Ok here we go!

Friday, well Thursday too were interesting, I am dealing with a truck driver who apparently thinks its my responsibility to maintain the equipment on his truck.I am referring to a septic truck, ok question! You work for me and I own a fleet of vehicles. you drive the same vehicle everyday. (stay with me) ok so something goes wrong with your vehicle and you can not perform your job properly. what do you do? A: advise your boss, hey my vehicle is jacked and i need it fixed, B: complain to the contractor on the job you are at, C: complain to the job foreman of the job you are at and expect him to call your boss and get it fixed for you! Now most of the people i know would say hey Mark, my trucks jacked and we need to fix it! Right! well apparently that is not in the job description of an Albanian truck driver! He raises hell with me because its not fixed! go figure. so i call transportationa and politley tell them that there septic hose was crushed a year ago and apparently duct tape is only good for 6 months! We Will get fixed immediately......Yea right!
ok sorry bout that so back to Friday! So wee are scheduled to go to gate 31 toady, Serbian, Kosovo border (Hot zone)! so we meet up and haed to Mitro Log Base to meet with the septic truck ( Hoser) as I now call him! anyway we meet hoser and head north, another beautiful drive.I along with Andre my Security Expert ( Andre is the guy who if Sh#$ hits the fan is responsible for everyone in the convoy) from Germany. Andre is a quiet guy who os near the end of his mission stay. I have found if i bring my IPod and hook it up in the car Andre likes to JAM! so thats how i loosen Andre up. anyway we are jammen and Andre and I are enjoying the scenic drive, we get up near the Mountain resiovor that supplies Pristinia with water and its Gorgeous. Andre and i start talking about fishing and water sports! then he points out to me the 18 wheeler in the water. then he shows me the one that fell down the side of the mountain. He explains that the smugglers use boats to bring the smuggeled goods across and they have lost several fuel trucks and cargo trucks to the lake. and tehy dont bother to retrieve them. just let em go. so basicly the water is full of fuel. Alrighty then, note to self: drink the water in Mexico first!

Anyway, we get to the gate pump there sludge and Back to Pristina!
