So today is Monday, but hey, when you work seven days a week, heck, everyday is Monday. So I awoke this morning to a dreary day, cloudy, cool and wet. Up and atom Adam Ant. Hit the showers, ok enough about that. Dressed to impress, I head out the door only to realize every American I work with decided to wear the same outfit, oh well better luck tomorrow. So I go through my daily routine of, well, umm, ok enough about that. So I get called to coffee, ok, this is a big deal because this is where most decisions are made, and if someone wants to chew on you in private this is where you will be corrected. So anyway, off I go. We meet around 1000 hrs and we have coffee. Ok, so it was not the meeting of the minds I expected. Oh well, least I was not chewed on.
So after coffee I walked over to the CPI House and bought my plane ticket to Germany to me the Punk. I am so excited. Anyway I pick up a few things from CPI and head back to my office. I log on and read the news and I anxiously wait for the Punk to log on, wait Smokey (Amanda beat her to it) Yea, a conversation with someone state side. So me and Smoke chat a bit then the Punk Calls. She has to work today, Bummer! You would think with the way things are, there aint a bunch folks out running around, but hey, it helps pay the bills. Poor Nanna has all four kids because the schools are closed until Thursday. Nanna is such a great relief! Anyway Punk is on the way and grumbling in frustration and I feel for her because I am not there to give her any relief. Hope she knows I love her and respect her courage!
The rest of the day was a drag, Smoke stayed on line and we were chatted about the storm and whatever else we could. I have been playing with the slide show. Rob (Chief) urged me to put pics on the Blog so I messed with it quite a bit and finally figured it out. To those who support Obama and view my slide show if you are offended by the cartoons included you can click on the pics and fast forward through the pain. For my Republican friends, Enjoy, I think they are funny! So its 2000 hrs my time putting the people of the Great State Of TEXAS at 1300 hrs. I hope your lunch was good. I know my dinner was great, I made it! Never criticize the chef when you are the chef! Anyway I am going to call it a day and pray for yall in the after math of Ike! May God grant his blessings upon each and everyone of you and put peace in your heart, The material things can be replaced, the people in your lives cannot!
