Good morning, Today I breath a sigh of relief, IKE has gone away and my family is safe. The rest of it is fixable, so when I woke at 0600 hrs I could not see the mountains. It is overcast and drizzling. I heard that Tina Fey was playing GOP VP candidate Palin! Therefore, I logged on to the web site and watched the funniest skit with Palin and Clinton! OMG, Tina Fey was a dead ringer! Therefore, I got to visit with the Punk a little last night via IM then she just disappeared. So I surfed for a bit then she called. Apparently, the internet went down for her. Oh well there is always the phone, expensive, but worth every penny.
I am now waiting for 1000hrs, we are going to the Danish camp for brunch, and they have BACON! I am so excited, I have been hearing about this brunch since I arrived and I finally get to go! I promise I will describe every morsel to you with the best of my abilities. I will wait till I am done though because all you would probably get from me would be mmmmrmrmmdmcmidch,,,,oh my, dang this medmfmfhmms! So anywho, we are fixing to bug out so I will see ya later!
I was right, Delicious! Man there was shrimp, crab, bacon, ham, eggs, pancakes, waffles, sausage, salmon, caviar, boiled eggs, pastry’s, and just about anything else you could want! Fortunately this is a once a week occurrence, man I would be a beached whale if it was available everyday. So lunch was good but I learned an important lesson on the drive there and back.
During our drive I observed several people doing what we would consider odd. Now mind you its raining and cool today, so I see several men out for their daily walk with their cows and I think to myself, hey, its raining and you are walking your cow! Why? Moreover, there was another man lying on a blanket roll watching over 5-8 head in a field and I am still thinking, what are you doing watching these cows in the rain. CULTURAL differences! What I learned was I have to be aware they are not like us! Ok enough with that, so we are driving along and I see this man bending up and down steadily. I said what he hell is he doing. Well as we approached you could see he had a flat tire and he was attempting to refill the air with a bicycle pump! Oh my friend, you are going to be there awhile! These are just two examples of some of the funny things you can observe here.
Oh, while at the Danish camp we saw a Kosovo Harley, so we all took turns having a picture taken on this machine! This is a tiller converted into a wagon! They drive them on the streets here. Moreover, it really sucks when you are hung behind one on the hi-way!
